LOUD SOUND NOTE - The alarm sounds at a loud
piercing 120 db, comparable to a rock concert in volume. If I am standing
next to it I want to cover my ears. The piercing 120dB sound also has the
potential to deter an attacker just because of the painful sound alone.
WARNING: Your ability to hear this in other parts
of your home will vary on distance and number of doors/walls in between you
and the alarm. You would probably not be able to hear this on another floor
of your home or from the very back of your home.
SOLUTION: If you have the door on one story and
your bedroom on another story I found that buying a door bell extender
allows you to hear a doorbell chime in your room when the alarm is sounded
downstairs..

DOOR ALARM in USE - To the right is a picture of
this alarm installed on a door. It attaches with double-stick foam tape
which is provided. The two pieces must be no farther apart than 1/2 inch.
The 2 small arrows must be aligned. On certain doors it may be required to
turn both units upside down and place the largest piece on the right side. I
suggest placing it high up on the door so children can not reach the
on/off/chime switch.
