Toothprints is a patented, arch-shaped thermoplastic dental impression wafer. When your child bites into the softened Toothprint wafer, it records individual tooth characteristics, tooth position within the arch and the upper to lower jaw relationship plus collects DNA in saliva- all important information for identification. It is safe and easy to do in the privacy of your own home. Or your dentist can do it for you.

One of the greatest fears of parents today is that their child will get lost or, worse yet, be abducted. Indicative of this concern is the fact that to date, 34 states have implemented AMBER Alert systems that issue state-wide public alerts about missing children. Toothprints is an arch-shaped thermoplastic wafer that softens in hot water, then placed on the patient’s lower arch. The child bites into the Toothprint wafer for 50 seconds in the same manner as a bite registration taken for prosthetics or orthodontics. After allowing a 2-3 minute cool-down period in the plastic bag provided. The dentist will give parents the Toothprints bite impression to take home for safekeeping. Making a Toothprints bite impression takes only a few minutes. It’s comfortable for young patients and will give parents peace of mind. Hopefully, they’ll never have to use it.
A few of dollars and a few minutes is a small investment to make for the huge return of being able to assist authorities in tracking a missing child or making a positive identification. Few children have fingerprints taken and the successful fight against tooth decay has left many children with no cavities and few dental records. Toothprints provides a unique record that can give parents greater peace of mind.
According to Peter Banks, Director of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, when Toothprints is taken, sufficient proteins in the saliva remain on the wafer from which a DNA test can be successfully performed for yet a second means of identification from Toothprints. He also states that, since the Toothprints wafer is sealed in a “zipper”-type plastic bag, enough scent remains for a trained dog to identify and track with it.
Recommended Toothprints Update Schedule
Yearly updates of Toothprints bite impressions is ideal. In lieu of that, the following schedule is recommended:

Initial impression: Age 3 (or after all primary teeth
have erupted) -
Update: Age 7 or 8 (or after the upper and lower incisors
and the first permanent molars have erupted) -
Update: Age 12 or 13 (or after all permanent teeth,
excluding 3rd molars, have erupted).

RETURN POLICY
RETURNS are accepted within 30 days of order, with
a return code, on unopened, unused products.
Email
us for RETURN CODE number. Please include order number and customer name
with this email.
When you return the product include a copy of the sales receipt, and indicate
refund or product exchange on the package.
NO RETURNS (unless defective) on open product
packages, sale items, potty training products, personalized products, special
orders, or wholesale purchases.
DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS - Items received defective will be
replaced within the first 30 days after order.
PRODUCT WARRANTY - My Precious Kid is not responsible
for replacement of defective items after 30 days. Please contact us for
manufacturer's phone number for warranty issues. It will be the customer's
responsibility to contact the manufacturer for replacement according to their
warranty
policy.
REFUNDS - Refunds will be processed within 7 days of
return. Shipping charges are not refundable.
NOTE: Items returned in used or opened condition, or outside of return policy will be refunded at retail price, minus 50% fee. The items will be given to a local charity or needy family. If free shipping was given then the actual shipping will be deducted from the refunded amount.
