ACID REFLUX IN BABIES - We are seeing more and more infants diagnosed with Acid Reflux. My new grand daughter is one of them. Reflux is when the stomach contents are brought back up into the esophagus after a feeding. Acid reflux may cause your baby to spit up every feeding. Reflux often results in discomfort and pain that can contribute to crying or sleep problems with your baby. Reflux occurs in young babies because the ring of muscle at the top of baby's stomach which helps stop the spitting of stomach contents is not yet fully developed.
