KANTEEN - As a mother and grandmother I was looking for a safe option to
plastic sippy cups
with BPA or PVC. The KLEAN
KANTEEN is the option I found. The KLEAN KANTEEN
safe BPA free, PVC free stainless steel sippy cup is what I bought for my
family. We have them available in 12 ounce Klean Kanteen sippy cup, and the
18 ounce sports bottle sizes. Which KLEAN KANTEEN option is best for your
family?
KLEAN KANTEEN SAFE SIPPY - Every new parent wants to make sure their baby’s environment is as healthy
as possible. Klean Kanteen can help with that. We designed a special adapter
that works with Avent’s™ patented sippy cup spout so you can put your energy
into the important stuff like bedtime stories and teaching junior to say
“mama” and “dahdah”, not worrying about whether your child’s bottle is
leaching chemicals.
BPA and PVC FREE -
Just like every other Klean Kanteen, our 12 oz bottle is made from 100%
recyclable, high-quality, food- grade stainless steel so it doesn’t need a
special lining like some other metal bottles. It’s completely BPA-free and
won’t leach chemicals, toxins, or funky flavors into your baby’s water or
juice.
It’s designed for small hands, making it easy to hold. And the large-mouth
makes cleaning as simple as a quick scrub with soap and water or a rinse in
the dishwasher.
CUSTOMER COMMENT: I love this water bottle. It's the perfect size, large enough, yet not so big that it can't slip into my backpack or be carried in hand comfortably. The mouth is big enough to fit regular ice cubes. It's stainless steel so it's totally safe to drink from and durable-it should last years and years!
CUSTOMER COMMENT: 1. ANY Avent sippy spout or nipple will fit in it. Both
the white and the green spouts are meant for babies first learning to use a
sippy cup; There is a "toddler" spout available that is much easier to drink
from.
2. It will leak if you over-tighten it. DON'T screw it as tight as it will
go or it will leak.
3. The Avent dome caps fit. (I am surprised that nobody seems to have
noticed this before!)

BPA PVC FREE SPORTS BOTTLE -

1. How much does a Kanteen weigh?
Klean Kanteens are lighter than they look, the 12oz bottle weighs 4oz, the
18oz bottle weighs 6oz,
2. Can I put hot liquids in my Klean Kanteen?
No. Klean Kanteens are single walled and not for use with HOT liquids. Warm
beverages can be used at personal comfort level.
3. Can I put my Kanteen in the freezer?
We do not recommend it and it will void the 1-year warranty against
manufacturer defects.
4. Why is the sports cap made of plastic and not stainless steel?
Your teeth. We chose polypropylene #5 because it has no known leaching
characteristics and is softer if you hit a bump on the trail.
5. Will the stainless steel react with acidic beverages?
No.
6. Is the Kanteen a thermos?
No. A Kanteen is a single-walled bottle and has little insulating
properties. Keep in mind that if your drink is boiling hot, the Kanteen will
be too hot to directly handle. The single-walled construction allows for
more volume and the option to put your Kanteen on a flame.
7. How do I clean my Kanteen?
Klean Kanteens are dishwasher safe (washing caps in the dishwasher is not
recommended because H2O can squeeze itself into the cap) or easy to clean
with a bottle brush and mild soap. We recommend an old fashioned cleaner:
white vinegar and baking soda.
