Comotomo Baby Bottle
|Item #08-324||Comotomo Baby Bottle|
COMOTOMO BOTTLE - In designing our bottles,
we were confronted with a couple of challenges. First, we wanted to make
something that babies will fall in love with. Since we knew about the big
issue with “nipple confusion”, this meant that we had to come up with a
bottle that mimics breastfeeding as much as possible. Second, we really
wanted to solve any issues for moms. Based on what we learned, this meant
making something that is super easy to clean, naturally safe, and works
like a charm (i.e. baby loves it, and doesn’t cause colic). So we present
you…“BREASTFEEDING IN A BOTTLE!”
Mimics Breastfeeding - Comotomo’s naturally shaped, wide-mound nipples, helps even the pickiest babies to latch right on!
Babies can be quite active with their hands during feeding. So we made the entire bottle with a soft, squeezable silicone material that very closely feels like the skin. Conventional bottles tend to have unnaturally fast milk flow. This is a definite “no-no” for any baby that’s been breastfed. So we made our bottles with naturally slow flow nipples to help easy transition back and forth from nursing to bottles.
Function with Style - Those two vents at the top aren’t just for show. They really work! It is designed to let air in while preventing any leakage. Good air ventilation means zero vacuum build up inside the bottle. This gives your baby a consistent milk flow, no unnecessary air-intake, and zero frustration. Silence really is a virtue. What does a really good vent, minimal parts, and crisp design give you? No leakage. Moms really love that even a drop of precious milk will not go to waste with our bottle.
CUSTOMER COMMENTS: My 4 month old daughter is breastfed and has had very few bottles in her life, but we have to introduce a bottle because we will be traveling and she will have to spend some periods of time without me. We had tried some other brands of bottles and most she hated, she did ok with the Tommee Tippee bottles but the flow was still pretty fast on those for her and I didn't like the fact that the milk would get caught in the "corner" of the bottle. This was great, she took to it immediately and I love how easy it is to clean and none of that very valuable breast milk gets stuck anywhere, it all goes into the baby where it belongs.
CUSTOMER COMMENTS: I have tried almost every bottle on the market and none even come close to comparing to the Comotomo. I tried Mimijumi, Playtex (multiple varieties), Medela, Nuk, Gerber, Tommee Tippee, and Evenflo just to name a few. Every bottle either leaked horribly, collapsed when my baby drank from it, or ran down his face almost choking him. This bottle does none of the above! You can shake the life out of the bottle and you won't get leaks. The Comotomo has a slow flow nipple and doesn't choke your baby, and not once has the nipple collapsed. The teats have two colic vents that truly work! The bottle is easy to clean, super soft and feels like it will be very easy for a baby to hold. It does have a small base so it can tip, but to me that is the least of my worries because the bottle does sit up just fine. I can't think of any negative things to say about this bottle and will definitely purchase more.
CUSTOMER COMMENTS: I am ecstatic about this bottle, because the slow flow nipple truly is a slow flow nipple. This is an obvious plus for breastfeeding mom's. I love it because I am exclusively pumping and I have a little hungry hippo for a newborn and with the Medela bottles I was using, he would drink 3 ounces in 7 minutes flat and then wouldn't stop rooting and giving the hunger signs afterward because his stomach didn't have enough time to register that it was full. With this bottle, it takes him 15 minutes to finish that same amount and now I don't have to overfeed him or give him a pacifier after feedings to keep him calm. I would absolutely recommend this to any mom who wants to make sure her baby still works for the milk like he would at the breast. Oh and the air vents seem to be working to reduce his Colic. There definitely aren't nearly as many bubbles as there were with the Medela bottles. Big difference there for sure.
CUSTOMER COMMENTS: Our lactation consultant recommended the comotomo bottle because I want to breastfeed my newborn (2 weeks) at the breast but also feed him using a bottle. We tried the tommy tippee bottle which looks similar, but the flow was too fast. The baby sometimes sounded like he was choking and gulping down the milk. With the comotomo bottle, we did not have these problems. In addition, there was no dribble out of the side of his mouth. We recommend this bottle if you are looking for slow flow. Also, the baby has not had any problem switching between the bottle and the breast.
