CHILD PROOFING - Baby Proofing is a State of Mind!
BABY PROOFING - When my twins were first born I had no idea what baby
proofing was about. After all, how much trouble could a none-moving human
get into it. After the first few weeks however, one of my daughters got a
small bead in her mouth and choked furiously. What was so scary was that she
was sitting on my lap when this happened and it pulled it right off my
necklace. Luckily she was all right, but from that moment on I realized that
baby proofing really was a state of mind. No matter how well we prepare
every nook and cranny of our home there is no way that we can ensure our
baby is safe – unless we are constantly vigilant and watching at all times.
CHILD PROOFING - Obviously, the house is full of hazards. Checking out your
home for child safety takes a knack for realizing exactly what will be
enticing to your child. As time goes on you will have to continue your
efforts and often reinforce methods that we were working in the past. Child
proofing is not about disabling our children from exploration; but rather
about allowing them to have firm boundaries with which to express their
freedom. You will still have to teach them NO, but you can never truly rely
on NO to work. That is especially true when you turn around or have to leave
the room for a moment. Kids of all ages are naturally curious and they will
want to try, taste and touch everything.
MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO! - Long before your child understands danger they will
be watching and mimicking YOU. They watch parents and older children turn on
TV’s, cook, plug things in, put make-up on, shave, do laundry, cut things,
stir things, etc. The list is endless. All of these things have some sort of
skill set necessary which infants and toddlers just do not have. They will
try to turn on water, play with the remote, put batteries in things and all
sorts of other dangerous and often life threatening activities. We have to
be certain that we monitor their behavior at all times. We also have to be
very watchful of what goes in their mouth.
SETTING AN EXAMPLE - Kids can slip things in so easily without us even
noticing (like the bead).
Baby proofing is not just about putting safety gadgets all around your
home. It is also about being a good example and providing stellar
supervision at all times. OF course there are tons of
child safety products that will
help you. It is important to remain mindful and remove things from around
the home that your little monkey might try to do.
TRUST YOUR CHILD PROOFING INSTINCTS - You will get used to your baby and
their abilities. Of course they will always be developing new talents that
will stretch your mind and force you to baby proof even further. Once your
house is geared up for baby you will soon be instinctively picking things up
and moving things out of the way that might be potentially dangerous. You
will develop a parental sense of danger. Relax, and although these years can
be dangerous. They don’t have to be! If you have a baby proofing state of
mind, chances are your child will always remain safe!

RETURN POLICY
RETURNS are accepted within 30 days of order, with
a return code, on unopened, unused products.
Email
us for RETURN CODE number. Please include order number and customer name
with this email.
When you return the product include a copy of the sales receipt, and indicate
refund or product exchange on the package.
NO RETURNS (unless defective) on open product
packages, sale items, potty training products, personalized products, special
orders, or wholesale purchases.
DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS - Items received defective will be
replaced within the first 30 days after order.
PRODUCT WARRANTY - My Precious Kid is not responsible
for replacement of defective items after 30 days. Please contact us for
manufacturer's phone number for warranty issues. It will be the customer's
responsibility to contact the manufacturer for replacement according to their
warranty
policy.
REFUNDS - Refunds will be processed within 7 days of
return. Shipping charges are not refundable.
NOTE: Items returned in used or opened condition, or outside of return policy will be refunded at retail price, minus 50% fee. The items will be given to a local charity or needy family. If free shipping was given then the actual shipping will be deducted from the refunded amount.
