New Business Launched
My oldest daughter Melissa has 3 little ones including twin boys who are almost 2 and a daughter 4. She is an awesome busy stay at home mommy. She got a “Cricut” machine for her birthday and started crafting. She began making beautiful cards and invitations. Soon friends and family were wanting her creations. So I suggested she register a business name and make some money doing what she loved.
Of course she had all the usual new business doubts including “What if I fail?” So I asked her “What would be failing?”. I said if you start this you could
1. Sell a bit and break even or even have a loss your first year and reduce your tax bill
2. Sell a bit more and have some pocket money to stretch your family budget
3. Sell a bunch and make added income for your family
So she set up her business name with the state: 5M Creations. Their family is Matthew, Melissa, Madison, Micah & Mason Marteney (plus the cat Milo)! That is a lot on M’s in one place!
Then she got a gmail account in that name.
Set up a facebook account in that name http://www.facebook.com/5MCreations
Set up a blog in that name http://www.5mcreations.blogspot.com/
Set up etsy store account in that name http://www.etsy.com/shop/5mcreations
And guess what happened? She is selling lots and staying very busy! I am so proud of her and the amazing party lines she is creating! So the next step was to create a regular website. So as of last night the website is UP! It is still in the building stage but the template is adorable. It was made by Christa of http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fairytale-Pumpkin/123052437726129 And our friend Kurtis of http://www.lapubell.com/ helped get it up and hosted!
So today we are announcing the unveiling of http://www.5mcreations.com/
