Making Your Own Baby Food

NANA AND THE BOYSMy daughter had twin baby boys last year. So she decided it would be a good idea to make her own homemade baby food. She knew it would save her family money. And she liked knowing what they were eating. She also raised a garden that made it even more cost-effective. So as she undertook this endeavor I began looking for products that would make it easier. And of course I wanted safe BPA free, and phthalate free containers.

NOTE: The photo here is me (Nana Kay) and my twin grandsons Micah & Mason age 1.

STEP ONE is a quality food processor or FOOD MILL. There are lots of option out there. I chose to carry the KIDCO electric food mill.  It is BPA free and just the right size.

STEP TWO is food containers to freeze the food in. We carry both BABY CUBES and BabySteps FREEZER TRAYS.  Both are BPA free safe materials that make storing your baby’s food safe.

STEP THREE is feeding your baby. We found an adorable BabySteps BABY FEEDING DISH. It is also BPA free and safe for your baby. The freezer food trays cubes are the right size for this dish.

STEP FOUR is table foods. Now that the boys have just turned 1, these TODDLER BITES FOOD CUTTER work very well. The boys have recently discovered hotdogs.///

SIPPY CUPS are another need for your growing baby. We found the wonderful SAFE SIPPY CUP line. They cute, safe and work great. We have them in green, blue and pink.

So if you have decided to make your own baby food, these great products will give you a start. If you use and like these products please send us an email with you comments to kay at MyPreciouskid.com
