AUTISM SAFETY – Loca8tor Tracking Device

As a child safety store owner, I often receive calls for a product that helps track children with special needs (autism, down syndrome) Some of these children are non-verbal or will not respond when being called. So I have continued to look. We have a great child locator that works up to 150 feet away. It is a great inexpensive solution ($30) in environments where the child is not too far away and you can hear the alarm. Order these at http://www.mypreciouskid.com/child-locator.html

Other parents have asked for something that did not require them to hear the alarm on the child (difficult in a noisy environment) and that would work at a farther distance. We have recently added the Loc8tor Plus – tracking device. It works up to 600 feet away and does not require being able to hear the alarm the child is wearing. And this device can track up to 4 tags included with the package. It can even track up to 24 items with the purchase of additional tags.

I am finding that people really like this device for tracking their pets (cats, ferrets, dogs) although they have to protect the tag from water. And others use the Loc8tor tracking device to locate remote control planes and helicopters. And still others use it to track their phone or keys. As you can see it has lots of uses.

The Loc8tor Plus tracking device comes with 1 handle held device plus 4 tags. One of the tags has a panic button for 2 ways use. It also comes with loops for adding it to keys or belt loops plus adhesive squares for attaching it to firm surfaces. It is $169.99 for all these features. And the batteries are included. Order these at http://www.mypreciouskid.com/loc8tor-tracking-device.html

NOTE: We do recommend that when using these devices for children that you also have your child wear a physical ID ( ID bracelet or dog tag) so if they get beyond the distance limit your phone number is on them.

Bumper Pads Danger

The newest study confirms that those cute fluffy bumper pads are no long safe. They can increase SIDS risk because of reduced airflow in the crib. And they pose a suffocation threat when babies get their face against the bumpers. http://blogs.consumerreports.org/safety/2007/10/new-study-confi.html

I am thankful my kids survived the bumpers we used. I am so grateful our new moms have current accurate information to protect their babies. Melissa is using the Breathable bumpers for her twin babies. Either use no bumpers, or ones that are safe like the Breathable Bumpers or Wonder Bumpers. http://www.mypreciouskid.com/breathable-bumpers.html

Breathablable Bumper Pads

Breathable Bumper PadsWe have been busy adding new products to our store at My Precious Kid. I am always looking for products that will keep your children safer. Sleep safety is a huge concern to me. We now are hearing from pediatricians to have no quilts or bumper pads in the crib. They pose a SIDS and suffocation risk. So I was so excited to find safe breathable bumper pads for our babies. http://www.mypreciouskid.com/breathable-bumpers.html

BREATHABLE BUMPERS – As a mom I was concerned about my child’s safety. I read about all the SIDS risks with traditional bumpers. So finding these Breathable Bumpers gave me such peace of mind. My daughter uses them on the crib for her twin boys.
