Kitchen Safety for Kids

Stove Guard

Stove Guard

Our homes though they may seem to be the safest places for our children can have areas that need extra precaution in order to truly be safe for them. One of these areas is in the kitchen. The kitchen has so many different things in it that can be harmful to small children, from cleaning supplies to knives, from hot stoves to heavy objects.

There are some precautions that one can take to be certain that your children stay safe. Secure the cabinet area where cleaning supplies are kept with a childproof lock. Keep kitchen knives and other sharp utensils out of the reach of your children.

Be sure that your stove is secured to the wall in case a child tries to climb on the front of it causing it to tip forward. You will also want to teach your children that the stove is hot. This can be taught from a very young age.Add a stove guard to protect little hands from reaching hot pans.

Even with these security measures in place you will want to always monitor a child who is in the kitchen, never leaving a child alone in this room of your house. Adding a safety baby gate to separate your kitchen from other living areas can make your home even safer.

When it comes to the safety of our children we can never be too safe. My Precious Kid Child Safety Store has lot of other home safety products to help keep your children safe!
