Twitter Tips

TWITTER TIP 1: NAME – Get your twitter account in your business name – build your business brand

TWITTER TIP 2: ADD a photo, website URL and a full bio box in your settings FIRST THING. It helps people decide to follow you

TWITTER TIP 3: TWEET every day, plan your time, even 30 minutes helps

TWITTER TIP 4: GIVE help, tips, encouragement, free samples, article, blog entries, etc

TWITTER TIP 5: FIND someone you admire and follow some of their followers

TWITTER TIP 6: FOLLOW BACK most of those who follow you

TWITTER TIP 7: FREEBIE Create a freebie to giveaway. Include catalog and coupon off

TWITTER TIP 8: ENCOURAGE your followers to follow newbies

TWITTER TIP 9: GRADE http://twitter.grader.com/ to see your grade – follow top 100

TWITTER TIP 10: SEARCH http://twitter.grader.com/search – search term of people to follow

TWITTER TIP 11: ASK for followers on twitter – ask followers to ask followers to follow you. I have met some amazing people this way.

TWITTER TIP 12: ENTER other conversations. ANSWER others questions. POST a poll. ASK a question every day.

These 12 tips is how I got 5000 followers and made Twitter’s Top 100 in 3 months! PLUS I have met some amazing people. And my business has been exposed to a lot of new people.

If you have products to sell, ask other bloggers on Twitter to review your products. It is a great way to increase your website incoming link.

    I am curious if you planned all this or did you learn as you go? Also this I there were lots of tweets about CPSIA this month, and you were tweeting a lot of them, do you think that helped you gain all those followers?
